Bratwurst Sheet-Pan Meal
Work all day? Driving your kids around all afternoon? Maybe your give-a (fill in the blank) meter is busted. Whatever the reason, we have the answer to the mid-week dinner crisis. Our Bratwurst Sheet-Pan recipe is a well-balanced, one-pan (you'll thank us later - fewer dishes!), hearty meal with almost no effort. Seriously, this sheet is easy!
All you need is Bavarian Meats Smoked Bratwurst, brussels sprouts, and potatoes. Or, to make this mid-week meal mania even easier, feel free to pick through your fridge and sub in any veggies you already have, such as squash, cherry tomatoes, or broccoli. But you can't substitute Bavarian Meats Smoked Bratwurst. That'll ruin it.
Ingredients
1 package Bavarian Meats Smoked Bratwurst
1 onion, chopped in large pieces
1 pound brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved lengthwise. You can buy them pre-cut too, and we go this route because this sheet is supposed to be easy!
1 pound small potatoes, like baby Yukon gold or red potatoes, halved. As far as we know, you'll have to cut these yourself.
2 large carrots, peeled and roughly chopped. We think bulk carrots are better than baby carrots for this recipe, so bite the bullet and cut these up yourself.
6 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon chili pepper flakes (optional)
Kosher salt and black pepper
Directions
1. Heat the oven to 425 degrees, and place a sheet pan in the oven.
2. Combine chopped vegetables + olive oil + seasonings + garlic. Stir until coated.
3. Spread the mixture in an even layer on the heated baking sheet, and arrange the vegetables cut-side down.
4. Place Brats on top of veggies in the middle of the pan.
5. Roast 25-30 minutes until the brussels sprouts and potatoes or your veggies of choice start to soften.
6. Enjoy with your favorite mustard or sauce.
7. Eat
Pro Tip: Choose tonight to clean up after dinner too. We promise you it's the quickest of the week, and you can leverage your cook & clean night against tomorrow night's sundown showdown. Enjoy!
